Using our innovative two-piece expanding element design, these shafts are specifically designed to hold bottom knife rings firmly in place, while allowing for easy and precise repositioning of the rings.
These shafts are designed for light- to medium-duty and ranges from 3" to 12" (76.2 mm to 304.8 mm) in diameters. There are 3 different models of Tidland Slitter Shafts:
Series 900 KA - Internal Expanding Shafts
This precision leaf shaft delivers superior balance and speed in applications that utilize automatic knife positioning. Polyurethane-bonded metal leaves are expanded by an internal rubber tube, providing positive grip on lower knife rings to hold them firmly in place until set changes are required. Deflating the shaft allows for quick and precise repositioning of the lower knife rings.
Series 905 KT - Non-Expanding Shafts
A simple solution for applications that do not require frequent slit width changes, the KT non-expanding shaft features knife rings that are secured in place with set screws.
Series 950 GK - External Expanding Shafts
Durable construction, reliable grip and fast, accurate positioning make this shaft ideal for medium-duty applications that require frequent changes to knifeholder position. Lower knife rings are easily repositioned and held firmly in place with external expanding gripping elements specially designed to withstand abuse and abrasion.
